The air in the throne room is thick with dust and the scent of ancient iron. Sung Jin-Woo stands panting, his body battered, facing the towering silhouette of the black knight. The greatsword hovers inches from his throat, yet the hunter does not flinch. 'You have passed,' a resonant voice echoes, not of malice, but of relief. As the knight sheathes his blade and kneels, the shadows around him begin to shift, no longer a prison, but a promise of loyalty.

Reader's Guide

The event begins when Sung Jin-Woo enters the Double Dungeon, realizing it is far more dangerous than any normal raid. He fights through waves of monsters to reach the central castle, where he encounters Igris guarding the throne.

A fierce battle ensues. Initially outmatched, Jin-Woo relies on his unique ability to level up and recover instantly during the fight. He pushes past his physical limits, eventually landing a decisive blow that shatters Igris's defense without killing him outright.

Following the victory, the System presents Jin-Woo with a choice: kill the fallen knight or command him. Choosing the latter, Jin-Woo raises Igris as his first Shadow Soldier. This moment fundamentally changes the story, granting Jin-Woo an army and establishing his path toward becoming the Shadow Monarch.
